Petition for Writ of Mandamus Dismissed as Moot and Opinion filed June 17, 2021. In The Fourteenth Court of Appeals NO. 14-20-00739-CV IN RE WARRIOR ENERGY SERVICES CORP., Relator ORIGINAL PROCEEDING WRIT OF MANDAMUS 80th District Court Harris County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 2018-35023 MEMORANDUM OPINION On Monday, November 2, 2020, relator, Warrior Energy Services, filed a petition for writ of mandamus in this court. See Tex. Gov’t Code Ann. § 22.221; see also Tex. R. App. P. 52. In the petition, relator asks this court to compel the Honorable Larry Weiman, the former presiding judge of the 80th District Court of Harris County, to vacate an order of October 23, 2020 releasing funds held in the court’s registry. Because Judge Weinman is no longer a sitting judge, we abated this proceeding to allow his successor, the Honorable Jeralynn Manor, an opportunity to reconsider the October 23, 2020 order. See Tex. R. App. P. 7.2(b). On May 10, 2021, Judge Manor signed an order vacating the October 23, 2020 order. On May 12, 2021, relator filed a motion to dismiss in light of Judge Manor’s vacatur of the October 23, 2020 order. Relator’s request for mandamus relief is now moot. Relator’s motion to dismiss is granted. Accordingly, we order relator’s petition for writ of mandamus dismissed for want of jurisdiction. PER CURIAM Panel consists of Justices Bourliot, Zimmerer, and Spain. 2
