Petition for Writ of Mandamus Denied and Opinion filed January 14, 2016. In The Fourteenth Court of Appeals NO. 14-15-00841-CV IN RE MNSCI INVESTMENTS, LLC, LARRY SCHILD, AND TEXAS EQUITY ACQUISTIONS, LLC, Relators ORIGINAL PROCEEDING WRIT OF MANDAMUS 133rd District Court Harris County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 2014-35071 MEMORANDUM OPINION On October 2, 2015, relators, MNSCI Investments, LLC, Larry Schild, and Texas Equity Acquisitions, LLC, filed a petition for writ of mandamus in this court. See Tex. Gov’t Code Ann. § 22.221 (West 2004); see also Tex. R. App. P. 52. In the petition, relators complain that the Honorable Jaclanel McFarland, presiding judge of the 133rd District Court of Harris County, abused her discretion by denying their motions to expunge the lis pendens filed by real party in interest, Sally Reagan. Relators ask this court to expunge the lis pendens, award statutory penalties for filing fraudulent liens, and strike Reagan’s response to the petition. Reagan requests that we award her attorney’s fees as appellate sanctions. Relators have not established their entitlement to mandamus relief. Accordingly, we deny relators’ petition for writ of mandamus and requests to award statutory penalties and strike Reagan’s response to the petition. We also deny Reagan’s request for appellate sanctions. PER CURIAM Panel consists of Justices Boyce, Busby, Brown. 2
