Opinion issued August 13, 2020 In The Court of Appeals For The First District of Texas ———————————— NO. 01-20-00272-CV ——————————— MARC A. LAWRENCE AND KAREN LAWRENCE, Appellants V. DOROTHY FARRELLY, EXECUTOR OF THE ESTATE OF MICHAEL JOHN FARRELLY, DECEASED, Appellee On Appeal from the County Court at Law No. 4 Fort Bend County, Texas Trial Court Case No. 16-CPR-028902 MEMORANDUM OPINION Appellants Marc A. Lawrence and Karen Lawrence filed a notice of appeal from the trial court’s December 31, 2019 judgment. Appellant’s brief was originally due on May 29, 2020. On June 17, 2020 and again on July 3, 2020, we issued notices advising appellants that the time for filing their brief had expired. In our notice dated July 3, 2020, we advised appellant that the appeal might be dismissed for want of prosecution unless appellants filed a brief by July 13, 2020. Appellants neither timely filed a brief nor requested an extension. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a)(1) (the appellate court may dismiss for want of prosecution for failure to file appellant’s brief). Accordingly, we dismiss the appeal for want of prosecution. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a)(1), 42.3(b), 43.2(f). We dismiss all pending motions as moot. PER CURIAM Panel consists of Chief Justice Radack and Justices Hightower and Adams. 2
