See TEX. R. APP. 1 Pursuant to its docket equalization authority, the Supreme Court of Texas transferred this appeal to this Court. See Misc. Docket No. 19–9120 (Tex. Dec. 20, 2019); see also TEX. GOV’T CODE ANN. § 73.001 (authorizing transfer of cases). P. 38.6(a) (governing time to file brief), 38.8(a) (governing failure of appellant to file brief). Appellant’s brief was due August 19, 2020. On August 24, 2020, the Court notified appellant that his brief was past due and that his appeal was subject to dismissal unless he filed, by September 3, 2020, his brief or a motion to extend time to file his brief. Appellant did not respond to the Court’s notice and has not filed a brief. Accordingly, we dismiss the appeal for want of prosecution. TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a), 42.3(b), (c), 43.2(f).
