Opinion issued August 11, 2020 In The Court of Appeals For The First District of Texas ———————————— NO. 01-19-00443-CV ——————————— LOTTIE DIMES, Appellant V. DEBORAH DIMES, Appellee On Appeal from the County Civil Court at Law No. 1 Harris County, Texas Trial Court Case No. 1130852 MEMORANDUM OPINION Appellant, Lottie Dimes, timely filed a notice of appeal of the trial court’s final judgment signed June 10, 2019. The clerk’s record was filed on June 25, 2019, and no reporter’s record was taken. Appellant’s brief was therefore initially due on July 29, 2019. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.6(a) (governing time to file brief). After receiving four extensions of time to file appellant’s brief, appellant failed to timely file a brief. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.6(d). Appellant was then notified by the Court on November 4, 2019 that this appeal was subject to dismissal if appellant’s brief was not received within ten days of the date of the notice. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a) (governing failure of appellant to file brief, 42.3(b) (allowing involuntary dismissal of case for want of prosecution), 42.3(c) (allowing involuntary dismissal of case for failure to comply with order of this Court). After more than eight months, appellant has still not responded to the Court in any fashion. Accordingly, we dismiss the appeal for want of prosecution. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a)(1), 42.3(b), (c), 43.2(f). All pending motions are dismissed as moot. PER CURIAM Panel consists of Justices Goodman, Hightower, and Adams. 2
