Opinion issued December 20, 2018 In The Court of Appeals For The First District of Texas ———————————— NO. 01-18-00794-CV ——————————— IN RE COMMITMENT OF S. L. M., Appellant On Appeal from the 185th District Court Harris County, Texas Trial Court Case No. 1417360 MEMORANDUM OPINION Appellant attempts to appeal the trial court’s May 29, 2018 commitment order. Because the appeal is untimely, we dismiss. To appeal a trial court’s commitment order under Article 46B.102, one must file a notice of appeal no later than the 10th day after the date the order is signed. See TEX. HEALTH & SAFETY CODE § 574.070(b), (e). Here, however, appellant filed her notice of appeal well past the 10-day deadline. We advised appellant that the appeal was subject to possible dismissal for lack of jurisdiction, and we asked appellant to file a response establishing that this court had jurisdiction. We received no response. Because the notice of appeal was untimely, we lack jurisdiction. See TEX. R. APP. P. 25.1. We dismiss the appeal. See TEX. R. APP. P. 42.3(a). We dismiss any pending motions as moot. PER CURIAM Panel consists of Justices Higley, Lloyd, and Caughey. 2
