Opinion issued April 3, 2018 In The Court of Appeals For The First District of Texas ———————————— NO. 01-18-00196-CV ——————————— IN RE UNDERWRITERS AT LLOYDS OF LONDON, Relator Original Proceeding on Petition for Writ of Mandamus MEMORANDUM OPINION Relator filed a petition for writ of mandamus, challenging the trial court’s refusal to rule on relator’s motion to compel.* Relator also sought emergency relief to stay proceedings in the trial court. * The underlying case is Rankin Road, Inc. v. Underwriters at Lloyds of London, Gulf Coast Claims Service, Pat Donovan, and John Andres, cause number 2010-25885, pending in the 165th District Court of Harris County, Texas, the Honorable Ursula Hall presiding. On March 15, 2018, real party in interest filed a response, enclosing a copy of an order signed by the trial court ruling on relator’s motion to compel. On March 21, 2018, this Court issued an order, directing relator to file a response by March 23, 2018, advising this Court whether the proceeding was moot. On March 23, 2018, relator filed a motion to dismiss, agreeing that the original proceeding was moot. Accordingly, we grant relator’s motion and dismiss the petition.
