Opinion filed May 17, 2018 In The Eleventh Court of Appeals __________ No. 11-15-00118-CV __________ STEVEN TROY TILLERY D/B/A FULL METAL DEMOLITION, Appellant V. JESSE SPEER, Appellee On Appeal from the 91st District Court Eastland County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. CV1343171 MEMORANDUM OPINION When Appellant, Steven Troy Tillery d/b/a Full Metal Demolition, filed in this court a notice of bankruptcy, we abated this appeal. See TEX. R. APP. P. 8.1, 8.2. We also requested that the parties inform this court of the resolution of the bankruptcy proceedings or any other event that would allow this appeal to be reinstated. See TEX. R. APP. P. 8.3. Appellant’s counsel previously informed this court that Appellant had received a discharge in the bankruptcy proceeding. Appellant’s discharge in the bankruptcy proceeding would moot this appeal. See Chae v. Schneider, 244 S.W.3d 425, 427 (Tex. App.—Eastland 2007, no pet.). On April 3, 2018, we advised the parties that it appeared to this court that the appeal was moot, and we requested that Appellant respond and show grounds to continue the appeal. In response to this court’s letter, Appellant’s counsel informed this court that he does not have “any information to provide the Court which would constitute grounds to continue this appeal.” Accordingly, we dismiss this appeal. PER CURIAM May 17, 2018 Panel consists of: Willson, J., Bailey, J., and Wright, S.C.J.1 1 Jim R. Wright, Senior Chief Justice (Retired), Court of Appeals, 11th District of Texas at Eastland, sitting by assignment. 2
