AARP, formerly known as the American Association of Retired Persons, is a nonprofit organization which promotes the interests of individuals over the age of 50 and seeks to protect older individuals from unfair and abusive business practices. The National Association of Consumer Advocates is a nonprofit corporation comprised of attorneys, law professors, and law students who primarily focus on the protection of consumers. The National Consumer Law Center is an advocacy organization which focuses on the needs of low income and elderly consumers.
