Bainbridge, Presiding Tim McCormack Lloyd Pierre-Louis ORDER OF A THREECOMMISSIONER PANEL {¶ 1} Charee Eddy ( applicant or Ms. Eddy ) filed a reparations application seeking reimbursement of expenses incurred with respect to a January 7, 2007 assault incident. On March 26, 2007, the Attorney General denied the claim pursuant to R.C. 2743.60(D) and R.C. 2743.52(A). On April 2, 2007, the applicant filed a request for reconsideration asserting that she incurred economic loss. On May 29, 2007, the Attorney General denied the claim once again. On June 28, 2007, the applicant filed a notice of appeal to the Attorney General s May 29, 2007 Final Decision. On November 1, 2007 at 10:35 A.M., this matter was heard by this panel of three commissioners. {¶ 2} The applicant (via telephone), applicant s attorney, and an Assistant Attorney General attended the hearing and presented testimony and brief comments for -2- ORDER the panel s consideration. Ms. Eddy briefly testified concerning the events surrounding the criminally injurious conduct. Ms. Eddy also indicated that she is willing to file a supplemental compensation application for additional claimed expenses. {¶ 3} From review of the file and with full and careful consideration given to all the information presented at the hearing, we find that the May 29, 2007 decision of the Attorney General shall be affirmed. Should the applicant obtain evidence of economic loss, she may file a supplemental compensation application. {¶ 4} IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED THAT 1) The applicant s October 25, 2007 motion for telephone testimony is hereby GRANTED; 2) The May 29, 2007 decision of the Attorney General is AFFIRMED; 3) This order is entered without prejudice to the applicant s right to file a supplemental compensation application, within five years of this order, pursuant to R.C. 2743.68; 4) Costs are assumed by the court of claims victims of crime fund. _______________________________________ THOMAS H.
