TAYLOR : ORDER OF A THREECOMMISSIONER PANEL Applicant : : : : : : {¶1} The applicant filed a reparations application seeking reimbursement of expenses incurred with respect to a March 26, 2006 assault incident. On May 9, 2006, the Attorney General denied the claim pursuant to R.C. 2743.60(E) since the applicant was convicted of felony possession of drugs on September 25, 2001, which is within ten years of the criminally injurious conduct. On May 16, 2006, the applicant filed a request for reconsideration. On May 25, 2006, the Attorney General denied the claim once again. On June 9, 2006, the applicant filed a notice of appeal to the Attorney General s May 25, 2006 Final Decision. Hence, this matter came to be heard before this panel of three commissioners on September 6, 2006 at 10:40 A.M. {¶2} The applicant and an Assistant Attorney General attended the hearing and presented testimony and brief comments for the panel s consideration. The applicant explained the circumstances of her felony conviction to the panel, while the Assistant Attorney General reiterated her position for denying the claim. Case No. V2006-20500 -1- ORDER {¶3} From review of the file and with full and careful consideration given to all the information presented at the hearing, we find the May 25, 2006 decision of the Attorney General shall be affirmed. IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED THAT 1) The May 25, 2006 decision of the Attorney General is AFFIRMED; 2) This claim is DENIED and judgment is rendered for the state of Ohio; 3) Costs are assumed by the court of claims victims of crime fund. _______________________________________ THOMAS H.
