IN THE SUPREME COURT OF MISSISSIPPI
No. 89-R-99025-SCT
IN RE: UNIFORM RULES OF CIRCUIT AND COUNTY COURT PRACTICE
ORDER
By order of this Court issued March 22, 2001, Rule 4.02 of the Uniform Rules of Circuit and County Court
Practice was amended to require, in addition to the Seventy-five Dollar deposit required in all cases, a
deposit of One Thousand Dollars for cases in which a complaint is filed pursuant to Miss. Code Ann. ยง 1127-81. Since the entry of the Court's order, suggestions have been made that such requirement may create
difficulties which have not been anticipated. The Court, en banc, thus finds it proper that the effect of such
amendment be suspended pending further study by the Court.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that this Court's order entered on March 22, 2001 amending Rule 4.02
of the Uniform Rules of Circuit and County Court Practice and its effect be and the same is hereby
suspended pending further order of the Court.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court shall spread this Order upon the minutes of the
Court and shall forward a true certified copy hereof to West Publishing Company for publication in the next
edition of the Mississippi Rules of Court and in the Southern Reporter, Second Series, (Mississippi
Edition).
SO ORDERED, this the 12th day of April, 2001.
