IN THE SUPREME COURT OF MISSISSIPPI NO. 89-R-99027-SCT IN RE: MISSISSIPPI RULES OF APPELLATE PROCEDURE ORDER This matter has come before the Court en banc on petition of the Advisory Committee on Rules seeking the addition of Historical Notes to Mississippi Rules of Appellate Procedure, and the Court having considered the petition finds that the proposed Historical Notes are appropriate and that their addition will promote the fair and efficient administration of justice. IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the following Historical Notes shall be and are hereby added to the Mississippi Rules of Appellate Procedure. 1. Advisory Committee Historical Note for Rule 28 Effective December 11, 1997, Rule 28 was amended to delete various requirements regarding the form of citations. 702-705 So. 2d XLI-XLIII (West. Miss. Cases 1997). 2. Advisory Committee Historical Note for Rule 32 Effective September 18, 1997, Rule 32 (b) was amended to effect technical changes. 699-701 So. 2d XXIX (West Miss. Cases 1997). 3. Advisory Committee Historical Note for Rule 41 Effective September 18, 1997, Rule 41(d) was amended to effect a technical change. 699-701 So. 2d XXX (West Miss. Cases 1997) IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Clerk of the Court shall spread this Order upon the minutes of the Court and shall forward a true certified copy hereof to West Publishing Company for publication in the Southern Reporter (Mississippi Edition) and in the Mississippi Rules of Court.
