PER CURIAM. Byron Coffie raises the issue of ineffective assistance of trial counsel in this direct appeal. Generally, ineffective assistance of counsel is not a cognizable claim on direct appeal. See Blanco v. Wainwright, 507 So. 2d 1377 (Fla. 1987). Therefore, the judgment and sentence are affirmed without prejudice to the appellant to raise the issue by way of a timely motion filed pursuant to Florida Rule of Criminal Procedure 3.850. AFFIRMED.
