UNPUBLISHED UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE FOURTH CIRCUIT No. 22-6009 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Plaintiff - Appellee, v. LLOYD OBED ADAMS, Defendant - Appellant. Appeal from the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, at Greensboro. Thomas D. Schroeder, Chief District Judge. (1:13-cr-00195-TDS-1) Submitted: June 15, 2022 Decided: July 8, 2022 Before DIAZ and HEYTENS, Circuit Judges, and FLOYD, Senior Circuit Judge. Affirmed by unpublished per curiam opinion. Lloyd Obed Adams, Appellant Pro Se. Unpublished opinions are not binding precedent in this circuit. PER CURIAM: Lloyd Obed Adams appeals the district court’s orders denying his motion for compassionate release pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 3582(c)(1)(A)(i), and denying his motion for reconsideration. Upon review of the record, we discern no abuse of discretion in the court’s determination that Adams did not establish extraordinary and compelling reasons for his release and the pertinent 18 U.S.C. § 3553(a) factors weighed against early release. See United States v. High, 997 F.3d 181, 185 (4th Cir. 2021) (providing standard of review). Accordingly, we affirm the court’s orders. We dispense with oral argument because the facts and legal contentions are adequately presented in the materials before this court and argument would not aid the decisional process. AFFIRMED 2
