UNPUBLISHED UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE FOURTH CIRCUIT No. 20-7364 XAVIA T. GOODWYN, Plaintiff - Appellant, v. ROOP, Correctional Officer; K-9 Unit; R. ADAMS; UNKNOWN, Responding Officer #2 Red Onion State Prison; UNKNOWN, Responding Officer #3 Red Onion State Prison; J. ROBERTS; J. STATZER; J. W. KISER, Lieutenant, Red Onion State Prison; SHANNON K. HAYES; S. B. FRANKLIN; JOHN MESSER; JORDAN FLEMING; JEREL DICKENSON, Defendants - Appellees. Appeal from the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia, at Roanoke. Norman K. Moon, Senior District Judge. (7:17-cv-00271-NKM-JCH) Submitted: January 20, 2022 Decided: July 12, 2022 Before GREGORY, Chief Judge, and NIEMEYER and HARRIS, Circuit Judges. Affirmed by unpublished per curiam opinion. Xavia T. Goodwyn, Appellant Pro Se. Unpublished opinions are not binding precedent in this circuit. PER CURIAM: Xavia T. Goodwyn appeals the district court’s order accepting the recommendation of the magistrate judge and granting judgment to Defendants following a bench trial on Goodwyn’s 42 U.S.C. § 1983 excessive force claim and related claims. We have reviewed the record and find no reversible error. Accordingly, we affirm for the reasons stated by the district court and deny as moot Goodwyn’s motion for emergency transfer because he has been released from prison. Goodwyn v. Roop, No. 7:17-cv-00271-NKM-JCH (W.D. Va. Aug. 12, 2020). We dispense with oral argument because the facts and legal contentions are adequately presented in the materials before this court and argument would not aid the decisional process. AFFIRMED 2
