Pulitzer Publishing Company, Etc., Appellee, 72 F.3d 134 (8th Cir. 1995)Annotate this Case
Before MAGILL, GOODWIN* , and MURPHY, Circuit Judges.
Elmer Webb appeals a judgment as a matter of law, granted pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 50, in favor of Pulitzer Publishing Company, in Webb's combined action under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq., and the Missouri Human Rights Act, Mo.Rev.Stat. Sec. 213.010 et seq. Having carefully examined the record and the briefs of the parties, we are satisfied that the district court1 correctly determined that there was no substantial evidence to support the verdict. McLaughlin v. Esselte Pendaflex Corp., 50 F.3d 507 (8th Cir. 1995). Accordingly, the judgment is affirmed. See 8th Cir. R. 47B.
