IN THE SUPREME COURT OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE IN THE MATTER OF THE PETITION OF RICHARD E. SHOCKLEY, JR. FOR A WRIT OF MANDAMUS § § No. 198, 2007 § Submitted: May 2, 2007 Decided: June 6, 2007 Before BERGER, JACOBS, and RIDGELY Justices. ORDER This 6th day of June 2007, upon consideration of Richard Shockley s petition for a writ of mandamus and the State=s answer and motion to dismiss, it appears to the Court that: (1) Shockley filed a petition requesting this Court to issue an extraordinary writ of mandamus directed to the Superior Court. Shockley asks that the Superior Court be directed to issue a ruling on his motion for postconviction relief. (2) A review of the Superior Court docket in Shockley s case reflects that the Superior Court denied Shockley s motion for postconviction relief on April 16, 2007. Accordingly, Shockley s petition for a writ of mandamus is moot. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that the petition for a writ of mandamus is DISMISSED as moot. BY THE COURT: /s/ Jack B. Jacobs Justice
