ORDER This 12th day of July 2000, the Clerk having issued a notice dated June 23, 2000, directing the appellant to show cause why this appeal should not be dismissed, pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 29(b), for his failure to file his notice of appeal within 30 days after a sentence is imposed, as required by Supreme Court Rule 6; and appellant having responded with a letter filed June 29, 2000, stating that his notice of appeal filed on June 23, 2000, was not really meant to be an appeal, but rather an attempt to obtain papers from the Clerk s office, papers which he has now obtained; and it appearing from appellant s response to the notice to show cause that dismissal of the appeal is unopposed; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, pursuant to Supreme Court Rules 3(b) and 29(b), that the within appeal is DISMISSED.
