§ 53.1-116.2. Sheriffs to be keepers of jails
VA Code § 53.1-116.2 (2015) What's This?
The sheriff of each county or city shall be the keeper of the jail thereof unless that locality is a member of a jail or jail farm board or regional jail authority, in which case the provisions of ยง 53.1-106 shall apply.
