§ 44-149. Appointment of special officers
VA Code § 44-149 (2015) What's This?
The Governor may authorize appropriate local authorities to appoint citizens of the United States as air raid wardens, fire watchers, auxiliary fire fighters, and policemen, and he shall prescribe the powers, duties, rights, privileges and immunities of persons so appointed. In the absence of an agreement therefor, such appointee shall serve without compensation.
