§ 64.2-2701. Right to release


VA Code § 64.2-2701 (2014) What's This?

Unless the instrument creating the power specifically provides to the contrary, the donee of a power may:

1. Completely release the power; and

2. Release the power as to any property that is subject to the power; as to any one or more of the objects of the power; or so as to limit in any other respect the extent to which the power may be exercised.
