38.2-503. False information and advertising generally.

No person shall knowingly make, publish, disseminate, circulate, or placebefore the public, or cause or knowingly allow, directly or indirectly, to bemade, published, disseminated, circulated, or placed before the public in anewspaper, magazine or other publication, or in the form of a notice,circular, pamphlet, letter or poster, or over any radio or televisionstation, or in any other way, an advertisement, announcement or statementcontaining any assertion, representation or statement relating to (i) thebusiness of insurance or (ii) any person in the conduct of his insurancebusiness, which is untrue, deceptive or misleading.
