32.1-275.1. Matching of birth and death certificates; marking ofcertificates and copies.

To protect the integrity of vital records and prevent the fraudulent use ofbirth certificates of deceased persons, the State Registrar is herebyauthorized to match birth and death certificates, in accordance withregulations promulgated by the Board, to prove beyond a reasonable doubt thefact of death, and to post the facts of death to the appropriate birthcertificate. Copies issued from birth certificates marked deceased shall besimilarly marked.
