32.1-162.2. Exemption from article.

The provisions of this article shall not be applicable to a hospiceestablished or operated for the practice of religious tenets of anyrecognized church or denomination which provides care and treatment for thesick by spiritual means without the use of any drug or material remedy,whether gratuitously or for compensation. Such a hospice shall comply withthe statutes and regulations governing environmental protection and lifesafety.
