32.1-128. Applicability to hospitals and nursing homes for practice ofreligious tenets.

Nothing in this article shall be construed to authorize or require theinterference with or prevention of the establishment or operation of ahospital or nursing home for the practice of religious tenets of anyrecognized church or denomination in the ministration to the sick andsuffering by mental or spiritual means without the use of any drug ormaterial remedy, whether gratuitously or for compensation, provided thestatutes and regulations on environmental protection and life safety arecomplied with.
