22.1-259. Teachers to keep daily attendance records.

Every teacher in every school in the Commonwealth shall keep an accuratedaily record of attendance of all children in accordance with regulationsprescribed by the Board of Education. Such record shall, at all times, beopen to any officer authorized to enforce the provisions of this article whomay inspect or copy the same and shall be admissible in evidence in anyprosecution for a violation of this article as prima facie evidence of thefacts stated therein.
