18.2-489. To what article applies.

This article shall not apply to any act permitted by the statutes of theUnited States or by the laws of this Commonwealth, or by the United Statesarmed forces regulations, nor shall it apply to any printed or writtendocument or production, stationery, ornament, picture or jewelry whereonshall be depicted such flag, standard, color, ensign or shield, with nodesign or words thereon and disconnected with any advertisement.
