15.2-971. Armories and markets; assistance to National Guard.

A. A locality may provide and operate armories and markets, or may contractwith others for supplying such facilities.

B. Any locality may appropriate out of the general levy, except the schoolfund, and expend annually such sums of money as their judgment may warrant toaid and assist in the erection and maintenance of suitable armories forcompanies of the Virginia National Guard, or otherwise contribute towards theassistance and maintenance of such companies.
