15.2-2225. Notice and hearing on plan; recommendation by local planningcommission to governing body.

Prior to the recommendation of a comprehensive plan or any part thereof, thelocal planning commission shall give notice in accordance with 15.2-2204and hold a public hearing on the plan. After the public hearing, thecommission may approve, amend and approve, or disapprove the plan. Uponapproval, the commission shall by resolution recommend the plan, or partthereof, to the governing body and a copy shall be certified to the governingbody.
