15.2-2017. Public utilities not to use streets without consent.

No street railway, gas, water, steam or electric heating, electric light orpower, cold storage, compressed air, viaduct, conduit, telephone or bridgecompany, nor any corporation, association, person, or partnership engaged inthese or like enterprises, shall be permitted to use the streets, alleys orpublic grounds of a city or town, without the previous consent of thecorporate authorities of such city or town.
