8.01-411. Compelling attendance of witnesses for taking depositions andproduction of documents to be used in foreign jurisdiction.

Whenever any mandate, writ or commission is issued out of any court of recordin any other state, territory, district or foreign jurisdiction, or wheneverupon notice or agreement it is required to take the testimony of a witness orwitnesses or produce or inspect designated documents in this Commonwealth,witnesses may be compelled to appear and testify and to produce and permitinspection or copying of documents in the same manner and by the same processand proceeding as may be employed for the purpose of taking testimony orproducing documents in proceedings pending in this Commonwealth.
