§ 5-1314. Taking property for public improvements

Whenever, under the provisions of this charter, the city council is required to give notice for the taking of land or other property for public purposes or for the awarding of damages or for the laying of assessments, a citation shall be issued. Said citation shall be signed by the city clerk, shall contain the names of all persons to whom notice is to be given and shall be issued not less than six nor more than sixty days before the time of hearing by the city council thereon. Notice shall be given to all owners and other persons having an interest of record in the land or other property affected.
