46A-1-13.1. Authorization of Bad River restoration project--Maximum amount of grants. Pursuant to §§ 46A-1-11 to 46A-1-13, inclusive, construction of a twenty-one million dollar Bad River Restoration Project as generally described in the report entitled "The Missouri River/Bad River Restoration Project: An Eco System Approach" dated May 1994, is hereby authorized for the purpose of restoration of the Bad River through the prevention of nonpoint source pollution in the Bad River watershed area.

The Board of Water and Natural Resources may provide under the State Water Resources Management System grants in amounts not to exceed eight hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($875,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, to the Bad River Restoration Project to provide the nonfederal matching requirements for the project under the federal Clean Water Act § 319 grant program or other federal fund programs requiring state match. No disbursements may be made under the grants authorized by this section unless funds are appropriated by the Legislature in conformance with § 46A-1-61.
