§ 41-5-22 Rules and regulations.

The department of business regulation may make such rules and regulations for the administration and enforcement of this chapter as it may deem necessary. Provided, further, notwithstanding any provision of the general or public laws to the contrary, the department of business regulation shall have the power to adopt by rule or regulation, in whole or in part, any standards, rules, regulations, handbooks, or other standards and procedures governing boxing as approved by the Association of Boxing Commissions. The rules and regulations may also provide for, and regulate the granting of, a special permit for exhibitions where no decision is to be rendered and where a skilled boxer or boxers merely demonstrate the science of boxing.
