108A-62. Therapeutic leave for medical assistance patients.

Patients at an intermediate care facility or skilled nursing facility may take up to 60 days of therapeutic leave in any one calendar year without the facility losing reimbursement under the medical assistance program, provided, however, no more than 15 consecutive days may be taken without approval of the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Medical Assistance. Under no circumstances shall the number of Medicaid-covered therapeutic leave days exceed 60 days per patient per calendar year. (1979, c. 925; 1981, c. 275, s. 1; 1985 (Reg.
