6-618 - Streets on boundary lines.

    §  6-618  Streets  on  boundary  lines. Whenever a street is on a line
  between two villages, or between a village  and  a  city  or  town,  the
  highway  or street commissioners of such adjoining municipalities shall,
  on or before the first day of May in each year, meet at a time and place
  to be determined by them, and divide such street. The  officers  present
  at such meeting shall allot a part of the street to each municipality in
  such  manner that the labor and expense of keeping such street in repair
  may be equal as nearly as practicable. The officers making such division
  shall, within ten days thereafter, file in the office of  the  clerk  of
  each municipality a certificate showing the part of such street allotted
  to each.
