Chapter 422 - Health Care Financing and Policy
NRS 422.27235 - State Plan for Medicaid: Inclusion of requirement for payment of certain costs related to preventing acquisition of human immunodeficiency virus.

The Director shall include in the State Plan for Medicaid a requirement that the State pay the nonfederal share of expenditures incurred for:

1. Any laboratory testing that is necessary for therapy that uses a drug approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration for preventing the acquisition of human immunodeficiency virus; and

2. The services of a pharmacist described in NRS 639.28085. The State must provide reimbursement for such services at a rate equal to the rate of reimbursement provided to a physician, physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse for similar services.
