Chapter 244 - Counties: Government
NRS 244.35357 - Power of board of county commissioners to impose penalties for violations of ordinance. [Effective July 1, 2022.]

1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, in accordance with the ordinance adopted pursuant to NRS 244.353545, a board of county commissioners or its designee may:

(a) Suspend or revoke any authorization issued pursuant to NRS 244.35356 for any violation of the ordinance;

(b) Impose a civil penalty on the holder of an authorization or an accommodations facilitator for a violation of any provision of the ordinance in accordance with the schedule of civil penalties set forth in the ordinance; and

(c) Impose a civil penalty or fine on a person who makes available a residential unit or a room within a residential unit without holding an authorization issued pursuant to NRS 244.35356 in accordance with the schedule of civil penalties or fines set forth in the ordinance, if any.

2. A board of county commissioners or its designee shall not impose a civil penalty on:

(a) A holder of an authorization for a violation of the ordinance committed by an accommodations facilitator; or

(b) An accommodations facilitator for a violation of the ordinance committed by a holder of an authorization.
