Chapter 561 - State Department of Agriculture
NRS 561.214 - Management of activities pertaining to protection and promotion of agricultural industry.

NV Rev Stat § 561.214 (2014) What's This?

The Director shall appoint a person to manage the activities of the Department relating to the protection and promotion of the agricultural industry of the State of Nevada. The person is in the classified service of the State and must be:

1. Appointed on the basis of merit; and

2. A graduate of an accredited college or university with a major in agricultural business or in one of the agricultural sciences.
