NRS 484A.660 - Issuance of citation at scene of accident.


NV Rev Stat § 484A.660 (2013) What's This?

Except for felonies and those offenses set forth in paragraphs (a) to (e), inclusive, of subsection 1 of NRS 484A.710, a peace officer at the scene of a traffic accident may issue a traffic citation, as provided in NRS 484A.630, or a misdemeanor citation, as provided in NRS 171.1773, to any person involved in the accident when, based upon personal investigation, the peace officer has reasonable and probable grounds to believe that the person has committed any offense pursuant to the provisions of chapters 482 to 486, inclusive, or 706 of NRS in connection with the accident.
