NRS 36.010 Defendantasking affirmative relief may have provisional remedies. When the defendant interposes a counterclaim, andthereupon demands an affirmative judgment against the plaintiff, his right to aprovisional remedy is the same as in an action brought by him against theplaintiff, for the cause of action stated in the counterclaim, and demandingthe same judgment; and for the purpose of applying to such a case theprovisions of NRS relating to provisional remedies, the defendant is deemed theplaintiff, the plaintiff is deemed the defendant, and the counterclaim so setforth in the answer is deemed the complaint.
