79-1004. Best practices allowance; calculation.

Beginning with aid calculated for school fiscal year 2021-22, for any school fiscal year for which the best practices allowance has been implemented by the State Board of Education, the State Department of Education shall calculate a best practices allowance for each school district qualifying pursuant to section 79-1054 equal to the lesser of (1) the best practices cost certified pursuant to section 79-1054 for such school district or (2) the product of the best practices cost certified pursuant to section 79-1054 for such school district multiplied by the ratio of one million dollars divided by the aggregate total of the best practices cost certified for all qualifying school districts for such school fiscal year. Fifty percent of the best practices allowance calculated pursuant to this section for each qualifying school district shall be paid to such school district as best practices aid for the school fiscal year for which aid is being calculated.
