474.59 Cooperation and contractual arrangements with other states and dominion of Canada; acquisition of trackage rights and rail property in other states and dominion of Canada.

Sec. 9.

The department may cooperate with other states and the dominion of Canada in connection with the purchase of rail property within the state. The department may acquire trackage rights in other states and rail property lying in other states and the Dominion of Canada to carry out the intentions and purposes of this act. In carrying out the authority conferred by this section, the department may enter into general contractual arrangements, including joint purchasing and leasing of rail property with other states and the Dominion of Canada.
