§ 9-403 - Members; terms


MD State Govt Code § 9-403 (2013) What's This?

§9-403.

(a) The Commission consists of:

(1) one individual appointed by the Governor;

(2) the Governor;

(3) the State Senator who represents the legislative district in which Annapolis is located;

(4) the Delegates who represent the legislative district in which Annapolis is located;

(5) the County Executive of Anne Arundel County;

(6) the Mayor of Annapolis; and

(7) the Superintendent of the United States Naval Academy.

(b) (1) The term of the appointed member is 4 years.

(2) At the end of a term, the appointed member continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

(3) A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.
