§ 10-133 - Payment of premiums [Subtitle subject to revision effective October 1, 2013; revised subtitle follows this subtitle]
§10-133. IN EFFECT
** IN EFFECT UNTIL OCTOBER 1, 2013 PER CHAPTER 570 OF 2012**
(a) The Board shall adopt policies that provide procedures and standards for the payment of premiums.
(b) (1) In accordance with § 19-406 of the Insurance Article, the Fund may:
(i) cancel the insurance of a policyholder who fails to pay a premium due to the Fund; and
(ii) pursue collection of the debt of any policyholder whose insurance is being canceled under this paragraph.
(2) If the Fund considers settlement to be in the best interest of the Fund, a debt may be settled.
