RS 46:2353 — Employees
§2353. Employees
The secretary of the Department of Health and Hospitals shall employ a director who shall be the executive officer of the commission. The director shall be a trained professional, having experience as such with the deaf, and skilled in the use of sign language. The director may be either a deaf person or a person with normal hearing, but preference shall be given to a deaf person. The secretary of the Department of Health and Hospitals shall employ such other employees as are necessary to carry out the provisions of this Chapter.
