§2112. Definitions

For purposes of this Chapter:

(1) "Handicapped person" means any individual who: (a) has a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more of such person's major life activities; (b) has a record of such an impairment; or (c) is regarded as having such an impairment. Inclusion will extend to anyone who has a handicap, either physical or mental, which severely limits a major life activity such as hearing, speaking, seeing, performing manual tasks, walking, learning, or working.

(2) "Advocate" means the individual employed by the bureau for handicapped persons, to carry out the objectives of this Chapter as spelled out in the duties of the advocate.
