45A.657 Required use of public funds for election administration. (1) (2) All costs and expenses related to election administration shall be paid for with public funds. An employee of a governmental body shall not solicit, take, or otherwise accept any private contribution, donation, or anything of value to assist with election administration within this state. This subsection shall not apply to a lawful contract for goods and services or an acceptance of food or nonalcoholic beverages. Effective: July 14, 2022 History: Created 2022 Ky. Acts ch. 23, sec. 1, effective July 14, 2022. Legislative Research Commission Note (7/14/2022). 2022 Ky. Acts ch, 23, sec. 6, provided that that Act, which created this statute, may be cited as the Stop Outside Influence Over Elections Act of 2022.
