(1) (2) Except as otherwise provided in KRS 407.5101 to 407.5902, Article 3 of this chapter applies to all proceedings under KRS 407.5101 to 407.5902. An individual petitioner or a support enforcement agency may initiate a proceeding authorized under KRS 407.5101 to 407.5902 by filing a petition in an initiating tribunal for forwarding to a responding tribunal or by filing a petition or a comparable pleading directly in a tribunal of another state or a foreign country which has or can obtain personal jurisdiction over the respondent. Effective: June 24, 2015 History: Amended 2015 Ky. Acts ch. 18, sec. 15, effective June 24, 2015. -- Contingent effective date repealed 1998 Ky. Acts ch. 101, sec. 20, effective March 23, 1998. -Created 1996 Ky. Acts ch. 365, sec. 25, effective upon contingency.
